"Building Resilience Together: A Dialogue on Adapting to Mediterranean Climate Impacts"

Join Catalonia and California, the co-leads of the Mediterranean Climate Action Partnership (MCAP), for a dynamic discussion highlighting the critical efforts of climate adaptation in Mediterranean Bioregions. MCAP is a global alliance of subnational governments with a mediterranean climate, working together to adapt to the increasing climate threats of drought, wildfire, and heat. MCAP formally launched in 2023 at COP28 in Dubai with 15 inaugural members, representing regions in Africa, Australia, Europe, and North and South America.

"Evaluating Sub-State Government Adaptation Strategies: Advancing Territorial Climate Justice"

With the establishment of the Global Goal on Adaptation, the international community is increasingly focused on how to effectively measure adaptation efforts. This event will explore how subnational governments and key adaptation stakeholders are developing their own measurement systems to track progress. It will also examine how these stakeholders are improving their actions by monitoring their advancement toward climate justice. This event aims to contribute to the global dialogue on adaptation by sharing practical, locally informed strategies that can influence global frameworks for adaptation monitoring and evaluation.
